You're a medical student, and your life is all about answering tough questions on the spot. In school, professors pelt you with complicated questions on anatomy, pathology, and microbiology. On the wards, you hold strong under interrogation about your clearly super-duper plan for your patient.
Now that the Affordable Care Act is beginning to be implemented, you're starting to get questions about that too. Want to be a superstar in the classroom or on rounds when it comes up in conversation?
We're here to help.
The "Making Sense of Health Reform" webinar was created by medical students for medical students to make sense of the new health care reform law in the midst of all the misinformation and to help medical students make advocacy a part of our lives.
Webinar 1: Sunday, October 28th-- Hosted by DFA's New York State Director, Dr. Manisha Sharma and med-student Karlo Perica
Webinar 2: Sunday, November 4th-- Hosted by DFA's Maryland State Director, med-student Meghana Desale and med-student Carol Duh.
We will provide you with a basic understanding on how health reform will affect you and your patients, as well as basic advocacy skills to become an advocate for your patients outside the exam room.
