Health Care Providers Urge Americans to Get Covered By March 31st
Washington, DC – Joining health care providers across the country in supporting the new health law, Doctors for America, a national movement of 16,000 physicians and medical students, is educating Americans across the country about the new health benefits and urging them to get covered before the March 31st enrollment deadline.
“Doctors support the Affordable Care Act because we know coverage is good medicine. For millions of Americans who have already signed up, quality, affordable healthcare is now a reality,” said Doctors for America Executive Director Dr. Alice Chen. “And it can be a reality for millions more who are eligible for coverage but don’t know it yet or about the financial help available. That’s why doctors are educating communities across the country and urging Americans to get covered. People should do their homework to make sure they are in the network of the doctor or hospital they like when picking their plan. But the most important thing to remember is that Americans have until March 31 to sign up for coverage that starts in 2014. As physicians on the frontlines of health delivery, we know what is at stake. Check out your options today -- go online to healthcare.gov, call 1-800-318-2596 or visit a local office and find our how you can get covered with quality, affordable health insurance.”
