Doctors Kick Off a Campaign to Educate 1 Million Americans about the Affordable Care Act
WASHINGTON, DC – On Monday, January 16, doctors and medical students from across the nation will congregate on the National Mall to kick off a year-long campaign to educate the public about the importance of the Affordable Care Act. Following a run around the Mall led by renowned health policy expert, Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, the doctors and medical students will fan out across the lawn to share with the public key facts and personal stories about why health reform matters.
The One Million Campaign, an initiative of Doctors for America, is an unprecedented campaign of doctors and medical students standing up for improving our health care system. The campaign's goal for 2012 is to educate 1 million members of the public about the facts so health reform can move forward.
